Corrections & badge disputes
We publish badges that call restaurants tourist-tilted. That will eventually reach somebody who disagrees, and the time to describe the process is before that happens rather than after.
What we will correct, and fast
- A mismatched listing. The Naver or Google record we matched belongs to a different branch or a different restaurant. This is the most likely error we make: matching is automated, capped at a 400 m coordinate distance, and the confidence value is published per record in the dataset. If it is wrong, it is wrong and we will fix it on receipt.
- A closure or a move. Tell us and the record is flagged in the next run rather than quietly disappearing.
- A menu price that was never real, as opposed to one that has simply changed since the harvest date printed beside it.
- Arithmetic. If you recompute a Gap Score from the published inputs and get a different answer, that is a bug and we want it.
What we will not change
A badge that the published thresholds produce from correctly matched data. The whole value of a threshold is that it applies to everybody, including restaurants that would rather it didn't. If the underlying scores are right and the arithmetic is right, the badge stands — and you are welcome to say so publicly, with our numbers, which are open.
We also will not remove a restaurant from the index on request. The coverage rule is the district harvest, not our preference or anyone else's.
How to send one
Email [email protected] with the restaurant name in Korean if you have it, the page URL, and what you believe is wrong. If you are disputing a match, a link to the correct Naver or KakaoMap listing settles it in one message.
What happens next
- We reply. If the fix is a data correction it lands in the next harvest run, and every page carries the run date so you can see when it took effect.
- Corrections that change a published badge are logged here, with the date and what changed, so the record of what this site claimed is not silently rewritten.
- If we decide not to change something, you get the reasoning, not a form letter.
Correction log
No corrections logged yet. This section is here before it is needed on purpose; an empty log with a date on it is a claim we can be held to.
